Broken Dell Laptops for Sale
Dell laptops are designed with a light that will stay a solid color to indicate that the laptop is actually turned on and this is the way that it normally should be. This is true for nearly all manufacturers. However if you see a different solid colored light, either a different color or maybe even a flashing light, on your laptop then this is going to be an indication that there is something wrong with the hardware in most cases.
If you find that the light on your laptop is a solid light in a different color that the light which it usually is then this will almost always unfortunately be an indication that there is a problem with the hardware within the broken laptop itself causing the Dell laptop power connect issue here. These will not be typical DIY computer repairs and from our experiences this very often indicates that the motherboard itself is causing these issues and this should be left to an experienced laptop technician.

It is a good idea to temporarily bypass the power strip all together and just plug the laptop directly into the wall outlet. Each of these steps are under the assumption that the wall outlet itself is in working order so you may want to see if another electronic device will turn on when it is plugged into the wall outlet.
